JOURNEYMAN HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Family owned and operated since 1992, Care Systems Services Ltd. Is an HVAC and controls company which provides superior service to hundreds of commercial customers throughout Western Canada. Our centers for operations are located in Vernon and Kamloops, British Columbia.
We have two immediate openings for Service Technicians in our Kamloops Division and are seeking applications from Journeyman HVAC Mechanics. If you are an individual who is comfortable working in a dynamic team environment, who is willing to learn new skills and who is motivated to provide excellent service to our customers, we need to hear from you!

SENIOR AUTOMATION CONTROLS TECHNICIAN

Care Systems Services Ltd. (CSSL) has a great opportunity for a self-motivated and dedicated individual who possesses the ability to work independently or with limited supervision in a fast-growing building automation company.

As an Automation Technician for Care Systems Services Ltd., you will be responsible for the design of building automation systems using company tools and operation standards to produce the most cost-effective and energy efficient solutions for our customers. You will work closely with the Lead Installer throughout the construction and commissioning stage to produce a building automation system to operate as designed by the Mechanical Consultant. You will also be maintaining existing buildings as part of ongoing, preventative maintenance.

Duties:

  • Hardware and software design of CSSL projects.
  • Reviewing of submittal and electrical rough-in drawings.
  • Coordinating with the various internal and external organizations as necessary.
  • Fully read and understand project scope of work, contract documents, and project specific sequence of operations.
  • Coordinate project specific details with outside contractors, vendors and customers.
  • Correspond with Project Manager and provide status reports.
  • Set up the DDC server and programs for projects Assemble graphics and floor plans for projects.
  • Be a part of a n on-call rotation for 24-hour alarm monitoring.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Develop a relationship with our existing customer base to provide outstanding, personalized service.


Qualifications:

  • A Technical Diploma in Engineering Technology or Equivalent with a minimum of five years’ experience in the mechanical industry.
  • Knowledge of HVAC/Mechanical Systems.
  • Some knowledge of CAD programs, or drafting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organization also a must.
  • Extensive overall computer experience including competency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Electrical experience an asset, but not a requirement.
