Located at 2175 Benvoulin Road, Kelowna, the Capstone Apartments is a nine-story, 122-unit affordable rental apartment building. Completed in 2024 and now open, Capstone features a mix of one- and two-bedroom units, designed to provide energy-efficient, modern homes for families, seniors, and individuals with low to moderate incomes
Our Role (HVAC & Building Automation)
As part of the mechanical and controls scope, Care Systems was engaged to deliver both HVAC services and a comprehensive Building Automation / DDC (Direct Digital Control) system for Capstone. Drawing on our proven expertise in integrating comfort, efficiency, and long-term system reliability, our work on this project included:
Installation and integration of a full BMS (Building Management System) to control heating, ventilation, and other mechanical systems.
Implementation of energy-management strategies to optimize utility use, aligned with modern standards for sustainable residential buildings.
Preventative maintenance planning to ensure ongoing performance and comfort for residents, using our CAREplan HVAC Service agreement model.
By combining our HVAC and automation capabilities, Capstone benefits from a unified control platform that supports efficient operation, reduced energy consumption, and easier maintenance — reflecting our long-standing mission to help building owners maximize comfort, efficiency and system longevity.
